Residency and Fellowship Programs Win Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Award

Johns Hopkins University received the 2023 Barbara Ross-Lee, DO from the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education. This award recognizes institutional efforts to achieve diversity, equity and inclusion in graduate medical education.

The Harriet Lane Handbook

The 23rd edition of The Harriet Lane Handbook - known as the “bible of pediatrics” - is named in honor of Harriet Lane, the founder of Johns Hopkins Medicine’s first children’s clinic. Published every three years since 1953, it is compiled and updated by chief pediatrics residents in the Harriet Lane Pediatric Residency Program, in consultation with faculty and staff advisers.

Available in over 20 languages, the latest edition includes updated guidance on a variety of topics, including COVID-19, and has “podcast-style” audio companion case files, featuring interviews with Johns Hopkins experts.

The book is available for purchase online through Elsevier, as well as Amazon, Barnes & Noble and other online retailers. All royalties are used to support the pediatric residency program.
