Adult Cystic Fibrosis Service
About Our Practice
The Johns Hopkins Adult Cystic Fibrosis program was started in 1999 and has grown from 75 patients to approximately 350 patients, making it one of the largest adult cystic fibrosis (CF) programs in the country. Our program is the only CF Foundation-accredited adult care center in Maryland and has repeatedly been recognized by the CF Foundation for our excellent care.
The mission of the Johns Hopkins Cystic Fibrosis Center is to optimize the quality of life of individuals with CF by providing exemplary patient and family-centered care, performing research to develop new therapies and training the next generation of caregivers.
We have a multidisciplinary clinic staffed by pulmonologists, nurses, dieticians, physical therapists, social workers and pharmacists. Additionally, we work closely with endocrinologists, otolaryngologists and gastroenterologists with CF expertise. We provide comprehensive outpatient and inpatient care for all aspects of cystic fibrosis.
