Background

Kathleen Lehnert, M.S, CCC-SLP, earned her Bachelor of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Towson University in 1993 and a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Loyola University of Maryland in 1995.

Kathleen has been a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist and certified through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) since 1995. More recently, she earned a Listening and Spoken Language, Certified Auditory-Verbal Therapist credential (LSLS Cert. AVT) through the AG Bell Academy of Listening and Spoken Language. She has over 20 years of experience working with children and adults in developing their listening and spoken language abilities.

Currently as a member of the Johns Hopkins Listening Center team, Kathleen offers auditory verbal therapy, aural rehabilitation, and performs pre- and post- cochlear implant speech-language evaluations for children and adults who receive cochlear implants. She is also part of ongoing research conducted with cochlear implant recipients.
