Dr. Dhananjay Vaidya is an Associate Professor of Medicine in the General Internal Medicine Department. He studies mechanisms of vascular dysfunction and the assessment of cardiovascular risk factors.

Dr. Vaidya holds a bachelor of medicine, bachelor of surgery (MBBS) degree from the Armed Forces Medical College and a PhD from the State University of New York. He earned his master of public health degree from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health before joining the Johns Hopkins faculty.

Dhananjay Vaidya Lab

  • Research conducted in the Dhananjay Vaidya Lab focuses on the prevention of heart disease, with special emphasis on cardiometabolic risk factors, genetics in high-risk families, cardiovascular epidemiology, statistics and vascular biology. We also provide consultation on study design as well as plan and oversee data analyses for projects supported by the Center for Child and Community Health Research.
