Background
Rachel Sotsky, M.D., is an orthopaedic specialist with expertise in trauma surgery. She specializes in the treatment of traumatic bone fractures, including fractures of the arms, legs, hips and pelvis. Dr. Sotsky also provides post-traumatic fracture care, including the treatment of fracture complications such as nonunions and malunions. She is passionate about helping patients recover their previous function while using the least invasive techniques possible. She also enjoys teaching, taking advantage of opportunities to pass on her knowledge to the next generation of trauma specialists.
Dr. Sotsky is an assistant professor in the Johns Hopkins Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. Her research interests include motor vehicle mortality and osteoarthritis. She graduated from the Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, where she also completed an orthopaedic surgery residency and served as chief resident. During her residency, she pursued additional orthopaedic oncology training at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Following her residency, she completed an orthopaedic trauma fellowship at Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center.
