Dr. Arifin received her Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame. After graduation, she continued her research at Monash University and Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.  Dr. Arifin’s research interests are theranostic (therapy and diagnostic hybrid) extracellular vesicle- and cell-based therapy; delivery system; molecular and cellular imaging; islet transplatation; prevention of type I diabetes.
