Background

Anna Powell, M.D., M.S., an assistant professor based on the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center campus has advanced training in infectious disease. She has expertise in reproductive infectious disease and vulvovaginal disorders, including HIV during pregnancy, pre-exposure prophylaxis, vaginitis and bacterial vaginosis.

Dr. Powell has research interest in preterm birth among women living with HIV, and she was a recipient of a prestigious Building Interdisciplinary Research Careers in Women’s Health (BIRCWH) awards.
