About Noah Matthew Raizman

Background

Dr. Noah Raizman is an orthopaedic surgeon at Sibley Memorial Hospital. He practices out of Orthopaedic Medicine and Surgery in Washington, D.C. He is affiliated with Sibley Memorial Hospital, Suburban Hospital, Georgetown University Hospital, Washington  Hospital Center and George Washington University Hospital.

Dr. Raizman has an expertise in hand and upper extremity surgery, as well as total joint replacement, sports medicine, orthopaedic trauma and nerve reconstruction. He also has interests in sports medicine and minimally invasive approaches to hand and elbow surgeries for carpal tunnel syndrome, cubital tunnel syndrome and Dupuytren’s contracture.

Dr. Raizman earned his medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. He completed a residency in orthopaedic surgery at George Washington University Hospital, followed by a fellowship in hand surgery at The Children’s Hospital at the Cleveland Clinic.

Dr. Raizman has assisted athletes on the PGA Tour, the Boston Red Sox, the Tampa Bay Rays, the Cleveland Indians and the Cleveland Cavaliers. He also provides care for the Division 1 collegiate hockey championships, George Washington University athletics, D.C. high school football games and the Marine Corps Marathon. Dr. Raizman is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Association for Surgery of the Hand, the Washington Hand Society and the Washington Orthopaedic Society.

Dr. Raizman was awarded a Howard Hughes Medical Institute Fellowship and a Doris Duke Clinical Research Fellowship. He has written scholarly articles and book chapters that focus on hand surgery, shoulder surgery and sports medicine, as well as presented his research findings at numerous national meetings.
