Background
Dr. Renyuan Bai was born in Beijing, China and majored in Biology at the University of Stuttgart in Germany. He earned a PhD in Biochemistry and Signaling Transduction in the lab of Professor Duyster at the Klinikum recht der Isar of the Technical University of Munich in Germany. He then pursued work as a post-doctoral fellow studying the signaling pathways of various oncoproteins.
Before coming to The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Dr. Bai worked at Roche Vitamins Ltd (DSM Nutritional Products) in Switzerland on protein evolution via high throughput screening.
Currently, Dr. Bai is an Assistant Professor in Neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins, working in the brain tumor drug discovery program in the lab of Dr. Gregory Riggins.
