Yasser Mohamed Ali Ged, MBBS

I am a kidney cancer patient, currently in the watchful waiting phase after surgical and medical cancer treatments. Every three or four months, I undergo Blood tests, CT and MRI imaging for early detection of metastases. Dr. Ged orders and coordinates these tests and evaluates the results (so far all negative). Dr. Ged answers all my critical questions clearly and empathetically.

I have been with Dr. Ged for over 3 years. I like that he "tells it like it is", but in a supportive manner. He is always professional and courteous.

As a world-renowned expected in metastatic renal cell carcinoma, he explained several times and ways he'd advise treatment. As in the past, as he acknowledged, I refused treatment. We discussed pain management, and he arranged a video meeting with the pain and Palliative Care team within 48 hours.

I have been a cancer patient of Dr Ged for nearly four years. He is absolutely one of the best doctors in his field. I feel blessed to have him available at Johns Hopkins. He is extremely knowledgeable on every topic we've encountered during all aspects of my being treated at Hopkins.
