Vaninder "Vinny" K. Dhillon, M.D., is an assistant professor of otolaryngology-head and neck surgery at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, specializing in both children and adults. She practices at Johns Hopkins Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery in Bethesda, Maryland, and is also affiliated with Sibley Memorial Hospital in Washington, D.C.
Dr. Dhillon has expertise in endocrine surgery, laryngology, otolaryngology, parathyroid diseases and surgery, swallowing disorders, thyroid diseases and surgery, and voice problems.
Dr. Dhillon earned her medical degree from Keck School of Medicine of University of Southern California. She completed a residency in otolaryngology at Los Angeles County and University of Southern California Medical Center.
Dr. Dhillon is currently researching the role of voice outcomes in patients after thyroid and parathyroid surgery when there is concern for vocal fold weakness or paralysis. She is also evaluating the role of office based treatment on vocal fold paralysis, as well as neurogenic recovery of vocal fold paralysis. Dr. Dhillon is also interested in treatment for neurogenic chronic cough which is refractory to other medical treatment.

- The Vaninder Dhillon Lab is currently researching 1) the role of voice outcomes in laryngeal dysplasia treated both in the operating room and clinic with the KTP laser; 2) Voice outcome pre and post thyroidectomy 3) Voice outcomes and technique in placement of Montgomery T tubes for subglottic and upper cervicotracheal stenosis.

I am very pleased with my Thyroidectomy. When I awoke in recovery, I was able to drink and eat a half sandwich. I no problem with the anestheaia and never took any pain medication, none at all. Not even an asprin.
