Background

Tiffany Fong, MD, FPD-AEMUS is an Assistant Professor and Director of Emergency Ultrasound for the Johns Hopkins Department of Emergency Medicine.

She completed residency in emergency medicine and advanced point-of-care ultrasound training at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, and has a Focused Practice Designation in Emergency Ultrasound through the American Board of Emergency Medicine.

Dr. Fong is involved in POCUS leadership and education nationally. She was selected to serve on on the Advanced EM Ultrasound FPD Examination Committee, is the current co-chair of the ACEP Emergency Ultrasound Safety subcommittee, and former chair of the ACEP Emergency Ultrasound Resident Education subcommittee.

Dr. Fong oversees the development of the clinical ultrasound programs in and beyond the Department of Emergency Medicine, including resident and medical student ultrasound training, and interdepartmental collaborations in point-of-care ultrasound education and practice.  She heads the POCUS Steering Committee in the Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions.  Under her guidance, the POCUS education programs were awarded the 2019 Johns Hopkins Institute for Excellence in Education (IEE) Outstanding Educational Program Award.
