Background
Sara Sheikhbahaei’s primary focus is on molecular imaging and theranostics, with expertise in nuclear medicine.
She received her MD-MPH degree from Tehran University of Medical Sciences before going on to a postdoctoral research fellowship in radiology at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. She then completed a medical internship at Medstar Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, followed by a diagnostic radiology and nuclear medicine residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital, where she served as a chief resident.
She joined the Johns Hopkins radiology faculty in July 2023.
