Research Summary
The Misale Lab is interested in understanding the basic mechanisms of sensitivity and resistance to targeted therapies in solid tumors driven by specific genetic alterations.
Our effort is translational science in oncology, working in close contact with clinicians and tackling clinically relevant questions in the lab to bring that information back to patients.
We investigate molecular and pharmacological targets in different malignancies including Colorectal Cancer, Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer and Pancreatic Cancer by merging genetics, pharmacology, and basic cell biology approaches. Our main focus is KRAS targeting and the study of mechanisms of primary, adaptive and secondary resistance to KRAS inhibitors in multiple tumors.
