About Roger Friedman

Background

Dr. Roger Friedman is a plastic surgeon affiliated with Sibley Memorial Hospital and Suburban Hospital of Johns Hopkins Medicine, as well as Shady Grove Adventist Hospital and Holy Cross Hospital. He is also on the clinical faculties of George Washington University and Georgetown University. He practices out of Plastic Surgery Institute of Washington, located in North Bethesda, Maryland. 

Dr. Friedman has an expertise in body contouring, breast surgery and cosmetic surgery of the face.

Dr. Friedman earned his medical degree from the George Washington University School of Medicine. He completed residencies in general surgery and plastic surgery at the University of Michigan Medical School, followed by fellowships in hand and microvascular surgery in San Francisco and cosmetic and breast surgery in Honolulu. Dr. Friedman previously served as the chairman of the sub-section of plastic surgery at Suburban Hospital from 1997 to 2000.

Dr. Friedman is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. 

Dr. Friedman has published papers on plastic surgery and presented them at local, national and international meetings, including the first meeting of the Aesthetic Society of Kuwait, where he focused on breast surgery, facial cosmetic surgery and body contouring surgery. 

Dr. Friedman has been consistently recognized by Washingtonian Magazine as Best of Bethesda doctor and Best of Rockville doctor. He is a RealSelf Top Doctor and earned the Super Service Award by Angie’s List in 2015.
