Dr. Johnston joined the Cardiology Faculty in 2008 and currently practices Interventional Cardiology at Johns Hopkins Hospital, Bayview Medical Center, and Johns Hopkins Howard County Medical Center. His primary research interest is in novel therapies for heart failure and he is involved in both clinical trials and pre-clinical studies currently underway at Johns Hopkins.

Dr Johnston was excellent. He described my medical situation, procedures that could address my issue, and did so in a manner that was simple to understand. He worked up a plan with options based on results from an upcoming test. I left his office with a clear picture of options and our plan. He was the BEST!

Dr. Johnston saved my life at HCGH as he was part of the Cath Team that respond to my heart attack in Aug 2015. He has been my Cardiologist ever since.
