Background
Matthew Reeves, MD, MPH, attended Harvard Medical School and completed residency in obstetrics & gynecology at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). He then completed a fellowship in Clinical Ultrasound at the UCSF Department of Radiology followed by the Fellowship in Family Planning & Contraceptive Research at the University of Pittsburgh. In addition to his clinical work at Sibley Memorial Hospital, Dr. Reeves also serves as Medical Director at the National Abortion Federation, Associate Director for Research at the Fellowship in Family Planning at Washington Hospital Center, and Adjunct Clinical Associate Professor of Obstetrics & Gynecology at Stanford University School of Medicine.
Dr. Reeves has conducted research on applications of ultrasound, contraceptive development, cost-effectiveness, early phase clinical trials of HIV-prevention products, and provision of reproductive health services globally. Previously, Dr. Reeves was the Chief Medical Officer for WomenCare Global. Prior to moving to Washington, DC, he was on faculty at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and an attending physician at Magee-Womens Hospital working in both the Ultrasound and Gynecologic Specialties divisions.
