Background

Laura Prichett is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of General Pediatrics with a joint appointment in the Department of Medicine, Biomedical Informatics & Data Science.  Dr. Prichett serves as the Associate Director and Faculty Lead for the Biostatistics, Epidemiology and Data Management (BEAD) Core at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Dr. Prichett is trained as an epidemiologist, demographer, and biostatistician, and has extensive experience working with complex, nationally representative panel data as well as utilizing administrative and electronic health record (EHR) for clinical translational research. Her research interests focus on suicide prevention research and gender and racial disparities in mental health treatment initiation among adolescents, including shining a light on unmet mental health needs among female and ethnoracially minoritized youth.
