Background
Dr. Stevens is an Associate Professor of Surgery at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and an attending surgeon at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. Dr. Stevens obtained his medical degree from the University of Arizona where he also completed his residency in general surgery. He subsequently completed a fellowship in Trauma/Surgical Critical Care at the University of Maryland, R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center. During his fellowship, Dr. Stevens completed a Master of Public Health degree at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Dr. Stevens’ research interests center on surgical and trauma-care strengthening in resource-poor settings.
