Background
Dr. Joshua Kiss is a general cardiologist and an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Cardiology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He serves as the Director of the General Cardiology Inpatient and Consult Services at the Johns Hopkins Hospital, helping to ensure excellent patient care and educational opportunities for trainees. In addition to his outpatient practice in Columbia, Maryland, he cares for patients on the inpatient general cardiology and consult services at Johns Hopkins Hospital. He is also a member of the advanced echocardiography team at JHH and Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. He is dedicated to serving as a compassionate and knowledgeable resource for patients and their families in all care settings. He has a passion for teaching and is involved with medical education at Johns Hopkins across all levels of training.
Born and raised in the New York City suburbs, he performed undergraduate studies at The George Washington University in Washington, DC, before earning his medical degree from the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA. He then moved to Boston, MA, for internal medicine residency with a focus on clinical education at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. After serving as a hospitalist and faculty member at BIDMC and Harvard Medical School, Dr. Kiss returned to New York for his fellowship in cardiovascular medicine at The Mount Sinai Hospital. He now lives in Howard County, Maryland, with his wife and son and enjoys rooting for New York sports teams when not taking care of patients.

This was an initial new patient visit. The length of the visit was sufficient to discuss all the heart related concerns. Dr Kiss is top notch. I am sure this will be an improvement over my last cardiologist! I will probably stay with Dr. Kiss as my provider for a long time!
