Background
Dr. Deveikis specializes in interventional neuroradiology in the Johns Hopkins All Children’s Institute for Brain Protection Sciences. He previously worked for the hospital from 2010-2014 before four years as a professor of neurosurgery and radiology at the University of Alabama-Birmingham. He rejoined the medical staff in 2018. Dr. Deveikis is based on the Johns Hopkins All Children’s main campus in St. Petersburg.
His areas of interest include researching ways to make neurointerventional techniques more effective and safer, application of perfusion imaging techniques to neurovascular conditions to tailor interventions based on perfusion data, and avoidance of complications based on modifications of technique and patient selection.
Dr. Deveikis earned his medical degree at University of Massachusetts Medical School where he was also chief resident of radiology. He completed fellowships in neuroradiology at Georgetown University Medical Center and London Health Sciences Centre, University Hospital at the University of Western Ontario.
