About James Lawrence Chinarian
Background
Dr. Chinarian specializes in Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine in the Johns Hopkins All Children’s Institute for Brain Protection Sciences. He joined the hospital in 2015.
His focus is on the care of children with disabilities, whether congenital or acquired. Since joining the hospital, he has started and/or been involved in numerous multidisciplinary clinics, including Torticollis Clinic, Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) Clinic, Spina Bifida Clinic,Stroke Clinic, Skeletal Dysplasia Clinic, Spasticity Clinic, and most recently Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) Clinic. In addition, he sees patients from infancy to young adulthood with various developmental disabilities, especially a large population of patients with cerebral palsy.
After graduating from Wayne State University School of Medicine in 1989, Dr. Chinarian completed a combined residency in pediatrics and physical medicine and rehabilitation (PM&R) at Wayne State University in 1994.
