Background
Dr. Lee is a specialist in Interventional Pulmonary and serves as the Wang Interventional Pulmonary Fellowship Director. His areas of clinical expertise include interventional pulmonology, pleural disease, minimal invasive diagnostics and lung cancer at Johns Hopkins. He also has extensive experience in the minimally invasive management of malignant airway obstruction, complex airway management and difficulty airways. In addition, he specializes in the diagnosis and management of pleural diseases and symptom relief with minimally invasive procedures. He is a fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians and the Johns Hopkins Master of Education for Health Professionals.

Research Summary
Dr. Lee's primary research focus is on medical education and novel minimally invasive pulmonary procedures. One of his areas of interest is the development of assessment and medical procedural education. Dr. Lee is the PI of several multi-center studies and has received funding from the NIH and medical educational organizations. Dr Lee is the president of the Association of Interventional Pulmonary Fellowship Directors (2017-2019) and has develop multiple educational programs to develop the field of interventional pulmonary including the in-service and board examination. Dr Lee developed the Interventional Pulmonary Fellowship Application Service and is the senior author for the accreditation guidelines for interventional pulmonary fellowships. In addition, Dr Lee is active in pre-clinical and clinical research of medical devices through large animal experiments and human clinical trials.
