Background
Dr. Angela Lee serves as the Medical Director for the Palliative Medicine Program at Sibley Memorial Hospital and joined the medical staff in 2023. Dr. Lee has worked extensively in program and systems development in the international setting with capacity building, and service delivery, and workforce improvement tailored to each setting. With a public health perspective, she is dedicated to improving patient care through a holistic approach.
Dr. Lee earned her undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College and her medical degree from the University of Buffalo. She completed residency training in Emergency Medicine at the University at Buffalo in 2005 and fellowship training in International Emergency Medicine at George Washington University, which is also where she received her Master of Public Health degree. She completed her fellowship in Hospice and Palliative Medicine at MedStar Health in 2013 and has been working in hospital-based palliative medicine since.
