Dr. Spinks is a pediatric neurosurgeon and chief of the neurosurgery program at Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida in collaboration with Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital. He joined the hospital staff in 2021.

He most recently was a neurosurgeon with the Brain and Spine Neuroscience Institute in Lutz, Florida. Dr. Spinks has published numerous peer-reviewed articles and lectured nationally.

His research interests include stem cell harvest, minimally invasive neurosurgery, minimally invasive spine surgery, concussion and mild traumatic brain injury.

Dr. Spinks earned his medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York, New York. He completed a residency at the University of California, Los Angeles, Division of Neurological Surgery, and a fellowship in the Division of Pediatric Neurosurgery at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh.
