He is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and a member of the American Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Society and the American Medical Association.

Dr. Magur has a research interest in foot and ankle injuries of athletes, as well as foot and ankle arthroscopy and reconstruction. He has contributed to numerous publications and presented his research as well.
