Public Transit

Getting to the Hopkins East Baltimore campus is easy with the variety of public transportation options available from MTA Maryland and the City of Baltimore.

Bus Service

The MTA operates local, express and neighborhood buses in and around the Baltimore metropolitan area. Several routes make stops at the East Baltimore campus and Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. Fare information, schedule and route map

Charm City Circulator

Fleet of 21 free shuttles operating on three routes throughout Baltimore City. The green route travels to the Johns Hopkins East Baltimore campus.  More information

Metro Subway

Above-ground and underground train, operating a northwest-to-southeast route from Owings Mills to The Johns Hopkins Hospital. Fare information, schedule and route map

Light Rail

Above-ground train, operating a north-to-south route from Hunt Valley to BWI and Glen Burnie. To get to The Johns Hopkins Hospital, get off at Lexington Market and transfer to the Metro subway. Fare information, schedule and route map

MARC Train

Commuter rail system serving several counties in Maryland, Washington D.C. and West Virginia. Trains make stops at Penn Station and Camden Station in Baltimore City. Transfer to a local bus or the Charm City Circulator (from Penn Station). Fare information, schedule and route map

Taxi Services

Baltimore has a wide variety of taxi cab services that can help you get to your Hopkins destination. See yellow page listings. If you’re traveling to the East Baltimore campus, cabs are usually available at the hospital’s main entrance off of Wolfe Street. See H5 on campus map

Employee Transit Passes

Employees of Hopkins are eligible to use pre-tax dollars to purchase monthly passes for the bus, light rail and Metro subway. Details and where to buy passes on campus (JHED ID login required).
