Description: A 64-year-old female who is six weeks postoperative from upper lid blepharoplasty done under local anesthesia in the office (no general anesthesia needed). Upper lid blepharoplasty, or an “eyelid lift,” removes excess skin (and sometimes fat protruding out) on the upper lid, to create a crisper upper eyelid free of wrinkles. This procedure takes one hour and can be done in the office, awake and under local anesthesia, or under anesthesia in the operating room, based on patient preference.
