Columbia, MD – June 29, 2021 – Today, Johns Hopkins Medicine announced the appointment of Shafeeq Ahmed, M.D., as its new president of Howard County General Hospital (HCGH), effective immediately.
In addition to serving as vice president of medical affairs and chief medical officer at Howard County General since November 2020, Dr. Ahmed has led the hospital as its president in an interim capacity.
