Laura Hendricks-Jackson, D.N.P., R.N., N.E.A.-B.C., O.C.N., vice president of patient care services and chief nursing officer for Sibley Memorial Hospital, is one of 18 executives of U.S. organizations to be selected for the newest cohort of the prestigious Baldrige Executive Fellows Program.

Laura Hendricks-Jackson, D.N.P., R.N., N.E.A.-B.C., O.C.N., vice president of patient care services and chief nursing officer for Sibley Memorial Hospital, is one of 18 executives of U.S. organizations to be selected for the newest cohort of the prestigious Baldrige Executive Fellows Program. Sibley is a member of Johns Hopkins Medicine. 

According to the Baldrige Foundation, its Fellows Program uses the Baldrige Excellence Framework as the foundation of their year-long studies of how world-class U.S. organizations and their senior leaders achieve strategic and operational excellence and stimulate innovation. Within a collegial environment, the Baldrige Fellows will have a unique opportunity to compare the perspectives of executives across sectors, share candid advice on leadership challenges and use the insights they gain to address a strategic challenge or opportunity within their own organizations as part of their individual capstone project.

In a congratulations letter to the Baldrige Fellows, U.S. Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross wrote, “It is our belief that your participation in this program will benefit you personally, your organization, and your organization’s key stakeholders—employees, customers, patients, students, partners, suppliers and the larger community…I believe that the Baldrige Executive Fellows Program empowers executives to lead their organizations at new levels of excellence.”

Hendricks-Jackson was previously director of acute oncology and critical care services at Sibley. Prior to this role, she held numerous progressive leadership and nursing roles at The Johns Hopkins Hospital and has more than 20 years of health care experience in the acute care, academic and community/public health settings.

Dr. Hendricks-Jackson holds a joint appointment at the Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing and is an adjunct faculty member at Capella University. She also is a national exam certification item writer and subject matter expert for the American Nurses Association. She received her doctorate in nursing practice with a concentration in executive leadership from Drexel University.
