The Sibley Memorial Hospital Foundation will hold its 18th Celebration of Hope & Progress Gala on Saturday, March 9, at the Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium located at 1301 Constitution Ave., NW, Washington, D.C., from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m.

Washington, D.C. — The Sibley Memorial Hospital Foundation will hold its 18th Celebration of Hope & Progress Gala on Saturday, March 9, at the Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium located at 1301 Constitution Ave., NW, Washington, D.C., from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m.

D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser will deliver remarks at the event, which has become an annual tradition in Washington, D.C. Many of the District’s most high-profile individuals and companies will also be attending the event. Mayor Bowser is known for her passion for supporting expanded access to cancer care, which is the city’s number one public health priority as documented in the Mayor’s Health System Report. Accordingly, this year’s event will focus on the Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center at Sibley Memorial Hospital and its efforts to provide high-quality cancer care to residents of D.C. and beyond. Sibley’s Center for Patient and Family Services, which provides expert assistance with the psychological, social, emotional and practical needs of patients and their families, will also benefit from contributions generated by the gala.
