Wilmer's Bethesda satellite clinic Bethesda opened in February 2013. Back then, seven clinicians practiced in the 7,500 square foot office. Since its relocation and development in 2019, the new facility boasts 18,000 square feet of clinic space, which includes 28 exams rooms, two procedure rooms, an optical shop and a cosmetic suite. Today, the number of doctors practicing at Bethesda has more than doubled.

"We offer the full spectrum of specialized eye care services: cataracts, cornea, glaucoma, neuro-ophthalmology, oculoplastics, optometry, pediatrics and retina," says Joseph Anaya, M.D., M.B.A., who became clinic director for the satellite last year. "We’re proud to be able to serve the community in such a comprehensive way.
