Expansion in Northern Virginia
In December, Johns Hopkins Medicine (JHM) opened its second location in Northern Virginia — a 28,000-square-foot medical center, located at Ballston Quarter mall, in Arlington. The opening follows the launch of a JHM center in McLean, Virginia, in 2022, which provides primary care and gynecology oncology.
Johns Hopkins Medicine – Arlington offers primary care, obstetrics and gynecology, cardiology, ophthalmology, otolaryngology, urogynecology and pelvic health physical therapy. Surgical specialties include colorectal and surgical oncology.
“Our location in Arlington combines ease of access with a wide array of services. We look forward to delivering on our commitment to expand access to JHM services and meet the growing need for primary and specialty care,” says Carolyn Carpenter, president of the National Capital Region of the Johns Hopkins Health System.
Johns Hopkins Medicine will continue its focus on Northern Virginia with a third location slated to open in the next few years, leaders say.
