Johns Hopkins is expanding its presence in Northern Virginia with its new Arlington center in Ballston Quarter.

The large multidisciplinary clinic features physicians from a variety of specialties and subspecialties including primary care, gynecology and obstetrics, cardiology, ophthalmology, surgical and hepato-pancreato-biliary oncology, urogynecology and pelvic floor rehab. More specialists and subspecialists will be added to the practice over time.

Johns Hopkins practitioners work directly with referring physicians, keeping them up to date and collaborating on treatment plans.

The center’s 28,000 square foot space includes 33 exam rooms and a design conducive to staff and physician collaboration. Physicians can perform minor procedures as well as stress tests and echocardiograms.

The Arlington practice is part of Johns Hopkins’ expanding presence in the Greater Washington area, which includes Sibley Memorial Hospital in Washington, D.C., and Suburban Hospital in Bethesda, Maryland, both of which are integral parts of Johns Hopkins Medicine. Also, Johns Hopkins Community Physicians, which provides primary and specialty care in community settings, has a practice in McLean, Virginia.

Most surgeries are be performed at Sibley Memorial, which is less than eight miles from Ballston Quarter. Johns Hopkins obstetricians deliver babies at Sibley, which offers comprehensive and individualized care including maternal-fetal medicine.
