More than 1,700 participants turned out on Sept. 21, 2024, at the Maryland Zoo for the inaugural Miracles in Motion race, which brought together current and former patients and families, and care providers, to support the mission of Johns Hopkins Children’s Center. The race consisted of a 5K run, a 1-mile walk and a Critter Crawl (50-meter dash) for the younger runners. Registration for the event included a ticket to the zoo. The event raised $140,561 for a variety of programs at the Children’s Center. Each registrant had the ability to choose where to direct their fundraising dollars.
