Pediatric interventional cardiologist Preston Boyer joined the Johns Hopkins All Children’s Heart Institute in St. Petersburg, Florida, in August 2024.

Boyer earned his medical degree from Saint Louis University School of Medicine in Missouri. He completed his internship and residency in pediatrics at the University of Arizona in Tucson. He then completed a fellowship in pediatric cardiology and an advanced fellowship in pediatric interventional cardiology at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.

Dr. Boyer’s clinical interests include pediatric and adult congenital interventional cardiology, palliative care, medical ethics, and clinical and interventional management of pulmonary hypertension. His research interests include ethical practices and palliative care in pediatric and interventional cardiology, process and device innovation, and frontiers for pulmonary hypertension management.

He speaks English and Spanish.
