Insaf Kouba, M.D., FACOG, Joins Maternal-Fetal Medicine Team

Insaf Kouba, M.D., FACOG joined Johns Hopkins All Children’s Maternal, Fetal & Neonatal Institute as a maternal-fetal medicine specialist in July. She sees patients at the hospital’s main campus in St. Petersburg, Florida, and at HCA Florida Brandon Hospital through a collaborative arrangement with Johns Hopkins All Children’s.

She was previously clinical assistant professor and associate program director in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the New York University Grossman School of Medicine/NYU Langone Hospital-Brooklyn.

Kouba earned her medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine in Roseau, Dominica. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology and served as chief resident at the Brooklyn Hospital Center in New York. She then completed a fellowship in maternal-fetal medicine at Northwell at South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore, New York.

Kouba’s research focuses on maternal mortality, morbidity, social determinants of health, and other key areas in maternal-fetal medicine. Her dedication is evident through numerous publications and presentations at leading conferences both nationally and internationally.

She speaks English, Spanish, Arabic and French.
