Manny Garrett Parker, a remarkable teenager with a miraculous survival story, has transformed his personal neonatal ICU experience at the Johns Hopkins Children's Center into an inspiring mission. Born at just 27 weeks, weighing only 1 pound, 4 ounces, Manny's life was saved by the exceptional care at Johns Hopkins, an experience that deeply moved his family.
Now 15 years old, Manny wants to give back and is determined to be the first deaf African American student to become an Eagle Scout in Palm Beach County, Florida. Through his Scout project, he has already put together more than 50 heartfelt donated care packages and will be personally delivering the packages to Johns Hopkins Children’s Center neonatal ICU families around the holidays.
