Celebrating New Residents on Match Day 2023
Match Day is one of the most important days for graduating medical students. Across the country and the world, these students learn where they will spend the next years to continue their training.
Though many medical students applied to Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital, only a dozen per year secure a space in the residency program. On Friday, the National Resident Matching Program announced who will join the next class of residents in July 2023.
“Match Day is a celebration to welcome new residents as well as recognize the achievements of our current residents. Each match represents another milestone for our institution along our journey toward a comprehensive pediatric academic health care system,” says Akshata Hopkins, M.D., FAAP, F.H.M., program director of the Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital Pediatric Residency Program.
