In October, four Johns Hopkins faculty members were elected to the National Academy of Medicine (NAM), considered one of the highest honors in health and medicine. The NAM serves alongside the National Academy of Sciences and the National Academy of Engineering as adviser for the nation and the international community. The four Johns Hopkins faculty members who earned the honor are:
Colleen Barry, chair of the Department of Health Policy and Management, and co-director of the Center for Mental Health and Addiction Policy Research at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health
Sharon Gerecht, professor in the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering and director of the Institute for NanoBioTechnology
Elizabeth Jaffee, deputy director of the Kimmel Cancer Center
Dorry Segev, associate vice chair for research in the Department of Surgery
