Get the ‘Facts’ About Johns Hopkins Medicine

Ever wonder how many patients were admitted last year to the hospitals of Johns Hopkins Medicine? Or how many emergency department visits occurred? Do you know how many full-time faculty members there are at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine?

Well, the answers to these questions — 115,000, 360,000 and more than 2,850 respectively — and many more can be found in the About Johns Hopkins Medicine section of the hopkinsmedicine.org website.

Each fall, the marketing and communications department works with communicators at our member organizations to update our “Fast Facts” sheets and associated PowerPoint documents, offering a broad overview of Johns Hopkins Medicine (JHM). These resources can be particularly helpful while developing presentations or reports, as well as in crafting grant and award applications.

To download the PowerPoint presentations and other files, visit the Branding & Use of Name Toolkit website.

The figures, and other information, have all been approved by JHM leadership, and updates will be provided regularly.

If you have a question about the content, or a suggestion to include something new in next year’s updates, please email Michael Keating, director of communications and design, at [email protected].

In Defense of a Beaten Path
