Experts from the Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center and Brady Urological Institute at Sibley Memorial Hospital in Washington, D.C., and Suburban Hospital in Washington, D.C., have expertise in managing all types of prostate cancers.
Our fellowship-trained medical and radiation oncologists, urologists, radiologists and pathologists, along with nurses and other health professionals, work together to individualize treatment plans for patients, including providing access to novel clinical trials. Patients can meet with several specialists during multidisciplinary clinics held twice a month. Our specialists also participate in weekly tumor board meetings with faculty colleagues at our East Baltimore campus to discuss new patients and consult on treatment options. Each patient participates in forming a personalized care plan that maximizes the opportunity for a successful outcome.

Johns Hopkins Proton Therapy Center at Sibley Memorial Hospital is one of the largest and most advanced centers in the U.S., with three treatment rooms and advanced pencil beam technology to “paint” tumors with cancer cell-killing proton energy layer by layer, sparing surrounding tissues and vital organs.
Our experts also use brachytherapy, which delivers radiation to prostate cancers through the placement of radioactive seeds at the tumor site.
Patients can receive nearly all of their care at locations within the greater Washington region.
