JHHC Rebrand Information

Johns Hopkins HealthCare has rebranded and changed its name. Our organization is now called Johns Hopkins Health Plans.
Why are we rebranding?
Our previous name, Johns Hopkins HealthCare, did not accurately reflect the business in which we are engaged. “HealthCare” was too broad a term to be distinctive. Renaming ourselves Johns Hopkins Health Plans provides clarity as to who we are and what we do.
-
The rebranding does not represent a legal change or a consolidation. Our legal name is still Johns Hopkins HealthCare LLC. Instead, we have secured a Doing-Business-As (DBA) designation to call and market ourselves as Johns Hopkins Health Plans, so no changes to our contracts will be necessary. Correspondence from us will be as Johns Hopkins Health Plans.
-
Three of our health plans (Employer Health Programs (EHP), Advantage MD and US Family Health Plan (USFHP)) will be rebranded with the new Johns Hopkins Health Plans logo. The brand and visual identity of our fourth health plan, Priority Partners, remains unchanged.
-
Our great strength has its foundation in you, our valued provider. Aside from any necessary visual identity updates to materials, the only change to impact our providers will be the name change to Johns Hopkins Health Plans. Relevant and priority information and policies on our provider website and provider portal(s) will not change except to reflect our new name. You may want to replace your internal references to Johns Hopkins HealthCare to reflect the new name, but please keep in mind that there are NO changes to contracts, reimbursements, etc. as a result of the rebranding. Our contact information, addresses, phone and fax numbers for our various health plans will remain the same.
We also have a new website address: hopkinshealthplans.org. The website will have a new look, although care has been taken to keep updates to provider resources minimal and ensure the navigation is intuitive. All current web pages have been redirected to our new web address, so any bookmarks you have should remain intact. Please contact your Johns Hopkins Health Plans provider engagement liaison if you are unable to locate or access needed information.
-
The main changes members may notice are the new Johns Hopkins Health Plans name and logo, and that their individual plan logo, whether USFHP, EHP or Advantage MD is no longer in use. The health plans themselves, including benefits, services and coverage, are not affected by the rebranding. Member IDs for these three health plans will be updated for Jan. 1, 2024 to feature the Johns Hopkins Health Plans logo, but all other information will remain the same.
-
We are notifying members of the name and brand change to their health plan. You should continue to honor and accept their existing plan ID cards until new cards are issued in January 2024. You can refer to the health plan by name for your patients, e.g., EHP, USFHP, or Advantage MD. Coverage between plans will remain unique and separate.
