Rales Center: The Healthy Road to Academic Success
Weaving comprehensive health services right into the school environment, the new Ruth and Norman Rales Center for the Integration of Health and Education at the Johns Hopkins Children’s Center is redesigning school-based health programs to improve the health of — and thus the academic achievements and lifelong prospects for — children in urban, racial/ethnic minority and underserved communities.
We need you, as a philanthropic partner to research and develop this revolutionary approach to children's health care and education. The Norman R. and Ruth Rales Foundation has provided a founding gift to help launch our first, model school-based health center at KIPP Baltimore, a public charter school spanning K-8. The foundation has also committed to generous matching funds, to encourage additional philanthropic support and will match every gift to the Rales Center and its mission until we reach our total goal of $6 million.
Help us ensure that a child’s place of birth does not ensure his or her trajectory in life.
