Child Life CCTV Internship
The Child Life staff at Johns Hopkins Children’s Center includes a video/TV producer and a special events coordinator. Facilities include an editing studio and a closed-circuit station that broadcasts to all rooms throughout the hospital. Child Life TV offers a “hands on” internship experience in both live shows and video projects.

- Operate the following: video camera, switcher, character generator, microphones, audio mixer
- Break down of equipment and maintenance

Types of projects
- Videos for sale: for education (used in schools or within Johns Hopkins Children’s Center) and facilities of higher learning
- Documentaries of Johns Hopkins Children’s Center events and entertainment for children in the hospital
- Production of training videos for staff, hospitalized children, families and volunteers

- Preproduction planning
- Scriptwriting
- Shooting on location as well as in studio
- Editing, using AVID-Media Composer 1000
- Dubbing
