Johns Hopkins’ nursing leadership consulting program provides creative and unique leadership opportunities through state-of-the-art teaching methods that emphasize global impact, efficacy, quality and safety, and evidence-based interprofessional education. Organizations learn and apply leadership and management techniques to improve nursing services at their health care system or clinical practice. Our program will help clients achieve the following: 

• Develop and demonstrate nursing leadership skills.
• Expand clinical skills and medical knowledge and apply in the local context.
• Use systems-based practice to understand the various impacts on the unique nursing practice.
• Build interprofessional competencies.

Our Approach

Using the collective knowledge, skills and experiences of Johns Hopkins’ nursing faculty and professional staff, we promote the global advancement of nursing education, research, practice and policy. Through our nursing leadership consulting program, clients will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with world-renowned experts across the Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing and the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.

Clients will have the opportunity to explore best practices with management experts and learn practical strategies from experienced Johns Hopkins nursing leaders. Through self-assessment and self-reflection, along with highly interactive group sessions built around realistic and challenging work situations, we will help clients identify and address the most critical issues in the lives of nursing leaders today.
