Foundations of Educational Leadership Course
This course is an introduction to key leadership competencies for medical educators. Participants will design their own leadership development plan that aligns with a strategic vision for their long-term career advancement and short-term goals within medical education.
Course Content Includes:
- Compare and contrast key features of leadership models.
- Self-assess and evaluate personal leadership competencies as it relates to personal qualities, working in an interdisciplinary team, managing people and resources, setting direction, and developing vision within roles in medical education.
- Create an individualized leadership development plan that aligns with a strategic vision for long-term career advancement and short-term goals within medical education.
- Identify areas of innovation in medical education and frameworks for promoting innovation.
- Compare and contrast change leadership models to support change in medical education.
- Apply features of well-being centered leadership to develop resilience learners and educational programs.
Course Fee: $450 – eligible for use of tuition remission benefit. Complete the e-form at the end of the registration process to exercise the benefit.
