INFECTIOUS DISEASES Viral Hepatitis

Viral hepatitis is a diagnosis that means liver inflammation, and hepatitis A, B, C and D viruses are the most common causes globally. Disease transmission, severity, geographic location, and prevention methods vary broadly across all strains of this infection. Our hepatitis researchers and clinicians are actively engaged in work that not only improves the health of people with viral hepatitis but also expands our knowledge of the disease and influences policy in the United States and abroad to address disparities in access to care for underserved populations.
