INFECTIOUS DISEASES Hospital Epidemiology & Infection Control
Keeping patients safe from infection in the healthcare setting is our number one priority at Johns Hopkins Medicine. Our infection control experts conduct research and develop policies and practices that promote patient safety by reducing the risk of acquiring and transmitting infections in the healthcare setting. Several Infectious Diseases faculty are members of the Johns Hopkins Hospital Epidemiology and Infection Control Team, which is led by Lisa Maragakis, MD, MPH.
