INFECTIOUS DISEASES Fungal Infections

Fungal infections are a major concern for individuals who have weakened immune systems, such as people living with HIV, those undergoing cancer therapies, solid organ and hematopoietic stem cell transplant recipients, and individuals in hospital or long-term care settings. The Division of Infectious Diseases is actively engaged in both research and clinical management, including conducting new diagnostic studies and clinical trials of new antifungal agents. Our work focuses on advancing the understanding, prevention, and treatment of fungal diseases, ultimately improving patient outcomes and care.
